Moms Love Flowers

The Marriot Hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan was bombed. At least 59 people are dead and twenty-five critically injured.
The explosion, believed to be a truck bomb, occurred at 8 p.m. just hours after newly elected President Asif Ali Zardari addressed Parliament and promised to destroy terrorism in the country.
It is thought that more than a ton (approx. 700kg of RDX and TNT) of explosives were used in the blast, which left a crater 30 feet deep and triggered a gas leak which sent the hotel up in flames. It is feared that the death toll may go much higher in what is one of the worst terror attacks in Pakistans history.
The Marriott is a popular place for foreigners to stay and the most prominent US-owned enterprise in the city, despite a wave of violence in the area. In January 2007, a security guard was killed and several people injured after the guard blocked a bomber from getting at the hotel, forcing him to detonate his explosives where he was.
Dozens of vehicles have been destroyed, and trees nearby have been felled. Buildings hundreds of meters away have had their windows shattered. Witnesses, including a security guard, described a large truck approaching the building immediately before the explosion. The explosion was heard 30km (18 miles) away in Rawalpindi.

im 31 yrs old w no children – all my friends kids make their gma's gifts- or give them photos of their kids- Im very close w my mother but I am unemployed. I would like to get her something meaningful for mothers day. Any suggestions?

I love something made by my children, even my grown children, and I love flowers to put on my porch – this is the perfect weekend. So here is the perfect idea: paint a flower pot (or can, or bucket, or windowbox, or planter of any kind) tie a pretty ribbon (from the fabric department) around it, fill it with flowers from the garden shop at any Walmart or grocery store, and voila, the perfect gift!

My boyfriend and i are celebrating mothers day with his mom tomorrow. She is very upset since her mother isnt around anymore. What can i make at home or create myself to cheer her up and show her shes appreciated?? Any Ideas?? And yeah i know its a little last minute but i have all day and all night to get it done! I just need some ideas!! Thanks!
Oh and please we remember we are in our twenties. So this isnt like a little kid activity. We are just tight on cash right now but still want mothers day to be special!
Making a meal and buying flowers involves money they are pretty pricey around here….right now all i have planned is an ice cream mothers day cake….thats becasue we have a coupon. Im not trying to be cheap…most moms love things that are created by their kids young as well as old!

Take her out for a nice lunch and then later in the afternoon, take her to visit some of her old friends. Perhaps you need to inform her old friends first.

You need to let her do the things she likes to do.

I've never seen any but they do have a great garden center with lots of flowers in bloom that you could buy and cut your own!..:)
